The Zebra ZQ520 is a mobile printer that can use multiple types of paper rolls – most commonly used with a 4” x 80’ heavyweight (80 gram) thermal paper roll. However, the ZQ520 can also use a 4” x 100’ standard (55 gram) thermal paper roll.

The short answer is ‘either will work’. Heavyweight paper provides a higher quality, more durable receipt while also lasting longer than standard thermal paper.
